The Photograph
It’s not too often that we are lucky enough to get a good thunderstorm here in Southern California. Knowing that this storm was headed our way, I headed down to my local beach, Salt Creek.
I arrived at almost sunset and set up my tripod and camera. The beach was as near to empty as I had ever seen it. There was one other person, a photographer, but he soon packed it in and left as the storm stared to get a little out of control. The sky darkened as the storm moved overhead. Dense clouds loomed on the horizon and the setting sun was nowhere to be seen. Then as I stood there waiting for something to happen, the clouds parted and the rain stopped just long enough for this amazing view appeared before me.
A photograph like this is truly a one of kind
