The Photograph
Autumn in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is such a special time to visit. All of the deciduous trees are changing color in preperation for the cold and frozen winter. This young Oak is getting ready for it's Winter slumber. Such a seemingly small fellow, this oak sits nestled amidst tall poderosa and sugar pines in hopes for its daily dose of sunlight. I found this composition just off of the trail I was hiking on a mid-afternoon in early Autumn.
